Rhums Agricoles Montebello are proud to be French spirits.
In France, nearly 50 million bottles of rum are consumed each year.
We are also proud to be part of a Geographical Indication. The IG “Rhum de la Guadeloupe” includes Rhum Agricole produced from freshly crushed cane juice.
At the Montebello Distillery, we produce three categories of Rhum Agricole:
- White: which undergoes a rest period of at least 3 weeks in vats after distillation.
- Aged in wood: aged in oak casks for at least 1 year.
- Old: aged in oak cask for at least 3 years.
The raw materials used to produce these Agricole Rhums must come exclusively from Guadeloupe, and its manufacture has to take place on the island with a well-defined manufacturing method.
Rhums Agricoles Montebello are at the height of French know-how.
